Today we will see “How to enable Clipboard for Remote Desktop in Windows 11”. Remote Desktop Protocol is a proprietary protocol developed by Microsoft which provides a user with a graphical interface to connect to another computer over a network connection. The user employs RDP client software for this purpose, while the other computer must run RDP server software. There are several ways to solve this problem depending on what you are trying to copy and paste.  In Windows Server no clipboard options are available. So you can’t trace your old copy history. Let’s fix it.

 

Open Microsoft Remote Desktop

First, you need to install the Remote desktop console

Now hit the windows key

Let’s type Microsoft Remote Desktop and Press enter.

It will open The Microsoft Remote Desktop Console.

Enable Clipboard

Click on the Options (….) button on your server.

Now click the Edit button

After this click on the show more button

Now scroll down and go to the Local Resources option

After this check the option “Clipboard” as shown in the below Image.

That’s it, Now you can copy and paste your desired content from your PC to Server
