<p>In this article, we will discuss, &#8220;Enable audio in Windows Server via <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_Desktop_Protocol" target="_blank" rel="noopener">remote desktop protocol</a>&#8220;. by default its disabled from services. Don&#8217;t worry about this we will fix it quickly. Most of the time it will fix from the services console. we just need to start the Windows Audio Service from the Services Console. if it&#8217;s not fixed from audio services then you can try with the group policy editor. Remote Desktop Protocol is a proprietary protocol developed by Microsoft which provides a user with a graphical interface to connect to another computer over a network connection. The user employs RDP client software for this purpose, while the other computer must run RDP server software.</p>
<h4><strong>Enable Audio Redirection Through group policy Editor</strong></h4>
<p>To open Group Policy Editor, Simply write group policy in the Windows search bar as shown below. Once you finish typing, Just hit the Enter Key.</p>

<p>After this, it will open the Group Policy editor console.</p>

<p>Now, click on Configuration, then Administrative Templates, and finally Windows Components. Take a look.</p>
<p>Next, click on the Remote Desktop Services option. After that, click on <a href="https://gpurdp.com/">Remote Desktop</a> Session Host and lastly on Device and Resource Redirection.</p>

<p>Now double click on the first option called &#8220;Allow audio and video playback redirection&#8221;.</p>
<p>After opening the wizard box appears, click on Enabled, as shown below.</p>

<p>Click on OK and then Apply.</p>
<p>Now you can close the Group editor Console.</p>
<p>simply reboot your server.</p>
